Victor Harbor: A 10 minute drive from Port Elliot, Victor Harbor is the largest regional centre on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Goolwa

Goolwa: The historical river town of Goolwa is a 15 minutes drive from Port Elliot. With both fresh and salt water, Goolwa offers great options if you are a fisherman or boating enthusiast. You may want to consider a day trip to the Murray Mouth or into the Coorong National Park. Take some time to stroll along the old Goolwa wharf - cafes, galleries, a brewery, a Sunday market and the Signal Point River Murray Centre are all highlights. Watch as the paddle steamers and riverboats come and go and take a ride on the Cockle Train back to Port Elliot or to Victor Harbor. While in Goolwa, also consider taking drives to Hindmarsh Island, the Goolwa Barrage and, if you have a four-wheel drive, the Murray Mouth.

Middleton: with its spectacular beach, Middleton is a mecca for surfers and beach fishermen. Just 5 minutes from Port Elliot on the way to Goolwa, Middleton also has a great bakery and a variety of shops. The Beach Hut complex in Middleton houses the trendy Blues Restaurant and 90 Mile Wines where you can sample beautiful wines and gourmet food from all over South Australia.
